The #YouthIgnite Student Founders Fellowship is an initiative of the FUNGUO Innovation Programme designed to inspire and equip university students in Tanzania to pursue entrepreneurship as a viable career path. By fostering student‑led ventures, #YouthIgnite strengthens Tanzania’s innovation ecosystem and contributes to inclusive economic growth.
Through the FUNGUO Programme, the #YouthIgnite Student Founders Fellowship is co-funded by the European Union, the British Government (FCDO), the Republic of Finland, and UNDP Tanzania, and co-implemented with StartHub Africa (SHA) and Westerwelle Startup Haus Arusha (WSHA).
#YouthIgnite equips young founders with practical skills, mentorship and catalytic support to launch viable businesses, while simultaneously building the capacity of university lecturers to deliver effective entrepreneurship training.
The #YouthIgnite Fellowship Cohort 2 is designed to help you start and scale your business. We will provide you with practical entrepreneurship training, access to seed funding, and ongoing technical support to build a sustainable, revenue-generating venture.
This cohort is for students like you, from our partner universities, who have already developed a business prototype or proof-of-concept that is generating early revenue.
