The FUNGUO Innovation Programme is a multi-partner initiative aimed at unlocking the potential of impact-driven startups and innovative micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Tanzania through catalytic funding, technical assistance and ecosystem strengthening. Co-funded by the European Union, the British Government (FCDO) and the Republic of Finland, the programme is implemented by UNDP Tanzania in collaboration enterprise support organizations such as ANZA, WSHA, and StartHub Africa, as well as government partners including COSTECH and others.

The call specifically targets innovative Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within the forestry value chain that are led or largely benefit youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
This initiative complements the ongoing Finland-funded FORLAND Project (Forestry, Land Use and Value Chains), and contributes to increasing rural jobs in the forest sector through innovation, skills development, and access to finance.

Mpango wa Ubunifu wa FUNGUO ni juhudi ya ushirikiano wa wadau mbalimbali unaolenga kufungua uwezo wa startups zenye athari chanya na biashara ndogo, ndogo za kati na za kati (MSMEs) bunifu nchini Tanzania kupitia ufadhili wa kichocheo, msaada wa kiufundi, na kuimarisha mfumo wa ikolojia wa ubunifu. Mpango huu unafadhiliwa kwa pamoja na Umoja wa Ulaya, Serikali ya Uingereza (FCDO), na Jamhuri ya Finland, na unatekelezwa na UNDP Tanzania kwa kushirikiana na mashirika ya kusaidia biashara kama ANZA, WSHA, na StartHub Africa, pamoja na wadau wa serikali ikiwa ni pamoja na COSTECH na wengine.
#GreenCatalyst ni mpango maalum wa Wizara ya Mmambo ya Nje ya Finland chini ya UNDP kupitia mpango wa FUNGUO unaolenga kuhamasisha ubunifu na uendelevu katika minyororo ya thamani inayotokana na misitu, kuongeza ajira vijijini, na kufungua uwekezaji katika MSMEs za kijani.
Wito huu unawalenga hasa MSMEs bunifu katika mnyororo wa thamani wa misitu zinazoongozwa au kunufaisha kwa kiasi kikubwa vijana, wanawake, na watu wenye ulemavu.
Mpango huu unakamilisha mradi unaofadhiliwa na Finland wa FORLAND (Misitu, Matumizi ya Ardhi na Minyororo ya Thamani), na unachangia kuongeza ajira vijijini katika sekta ya misitu kupitia ubunifu, maendeleo ya ujuzi, na upatikanaji wa fedha.
